Astra Group is one of the UK's leading digital architectural signage specialists, established in Manchester in 1984, we have a wealth of experience in offering a full turn key solution in digital and traditional signage for a wide variety of sectors - particularly, hospitality, travel & transportation, retail, leisure, and international events.

This role is responsible for supporting the Project Management Team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality. You will work closely with project managers and team members, managing various administrative tasks and facilitating communication to keep projects on track. This is a key supportive role, helping the project manager by handling the day-to-day logistics and ensuring all aspects of the project are managed efficiently.

This is an important position within Astra Group and carries with it a responsibility to maintain our reputation with new and existing clients.

This role will be based at the Trafford Park Office Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00

Key Responsibilities



Project Planning and Scheduling:



Assisting in developing project plans, setting deadlines, and assigning tasks to team members, ensuring they are aligned with project objectives.

Communication:



Facilitating communication between project stakeholders, including team members, clients, and upper management, keeping everyone informed about project status and progress.

Task Management:



Assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and identifying potential issues or bottlenecks, taking proactive steps to resolve them.

Documentation and Reporting:



Maintaining project documentation, creating reports on project progress, submitting permit requests, and presenting updates to stakeholders.

Resource Management:



Coordinating with suppliers, managing budgets, and tracking project expenses to ensure projects stay within allocated resources.

Meeting Management:



Organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes to ensure effective communication and decision-making.

Support:



Undertaking tasks set out by team members, completing these within set timelines

Compliance:



Ensuring that projects adhere to relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards.

The Ideal Candidate



Self-motivation Able to undertake instruction Previous experience in a coordination position Able to use Ghantt charts Good time management skills. Able to multitask. Attention to detail. Good communication and mathematical skills. A modest approach to learning and self awareness to continually improve. Able to use your own initiative. Able to work under pressure. Able to solve problems and resolve client disputes. Experience with Google Workspace is preferred but not essential. Able to produce regular reporting on stock and supplier performance. Ability to make decisions under pressure Clean and full driving license

Travel



This job position is based from the Astra Signs Manchester office in Trafford Park but will require the individual to attend on-site meetings and also be involved in on-site works as required.

Duties will vary from time to time without changing the nature of the post or level of responsibility. The post holder may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by their line manager.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to 26,000.00 per year
