Project Delivery Engineer

to lead the successful execution of major and standard projects across our portfolio.



In this pivotal role, you'll be accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification - while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. You'll manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate contractors, and act as the key interface between internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

As a Project Delivery Engineer, you will:

Lead the end-to-end delivery

of complex and standard projects, ensuring robust design, programme, commissioning plans, and seamless integration across delivery interfaces.

Manage project performance

by overseeing budgets, timelines, SHESQ risks, and stakeholder relationships to safeguard Cadent's reputation.

Provide strategic input

during the pre-sanction phase, reviewing SHESQ management, risk, deliverability, and supporting contractor performance and commissioning.

Ensure compliance

with Cadent's Cyber, Data, and Safety policies, as well as relevant regulatory and procedural standards.

Deliver comprehensive reporting

on SHE performance, financial forecasts, milestone tracking, and project status to support governance and transparency.

Represent Cadent externally

, managing land, consents, public relations, and promoting a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and engagement.

What you will bring

+ Engineering Degree, HNC, SNVQ/NVQ, or equivalent operational experience + IOSH (required), NEBOSH (desirable), APM Foundation (desirable)
+ SCO AE & CP, Compex 01-04 and EL/6 authorisation (desirable)
+ Professional registration (desirable)
+ Strong engineering project delivery experience in the gas industry
+ In-depth knowledge of gas plant systems, E&I, and process safety principles
+ Strong understanding of HSE regulations (PSSR, COMAH, PSR), CDM, SCO, and Safety Management Systems
+ Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
