The Vacancy


Project Design Manager




We are seeking a motivated Project Design Manager to join our Design Management Unit.


The ideal candidate will provide support to many different client groups, including Scott Brownrigg Design Teams, external clients and contractors. This person will have the exciting opportunity of leading the management of the design process in London, the UK and internationally. They will also help grow the Design Management Unit team by demonstrating value at every opportunity and assist in managing and mentoring graduate and assistant project/design managers. There is also the chance to forge relationships with clients across Scott Brownrigg and externally to build up a contact database for future business development.

Your skills



Understanding of the design process. Project and design programming skills. Experience in development and implementation of design management tools and procedures Understanding of Construction processes and Technical detailing Excellent communication skills. Commercial/Contractual awareness Proficiency in MS Project/Excel/InDesign

Your qualifications and experience



It is highly designable that the candidate for this role has an architectural background The job holder will be expected to have previous experience of undertaking the above role in collaboration with multi-disciplinary Design Teams on building and/or infrastructure projects and a demonstrable understanding and empathy of the design process No specific qualification is required, although the role may suit candidates with an architectural or engineering consultancy background, with Project Management credentials or an equivalent industry standard qualification that demonstrates an understanding of the design and construction process. We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, client facing individuals with an in understanding of the design and delivery of buildings and infrastructure.
