Keyfab is a new and exciting offering from Keystone Lintels. At Keyfab we Design, Fabricate and Supply Structural Steel for all types of residential buildings within the construction sector. We pride ourselves in providing our clients with a top quality engineered solution that meets their specific needs and exceeds their expectations.
Due to the exceptional demand for our structural products, Keyfab require a Project Detailer to work within the Technical Office of our Cookstown site.


Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.45am to 3.30pm.


There is scope to work 1 day from home after sufficient training has been provided



Keyfab Structural Steel are seeking a highly motivated, highly organized and detail oriented Project Detailer to join our Team. The Project Detailer will be responsible for creating client confirmation drawings for structural frames and components and when confirmed create detailed structural steel fabrication/shop drawings. All this while working together with our experienced design and production teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural detailing, be proficient in AutoCAD and Solid Works, be an innovative and creative thinker with a passion to please our customers and happy to work within a vibrant team. They will report directly to the Keyfab Manager.

Prepare Structural Steel Fabrication Drawings based on the customer's requirements.
Produce and issue Customer Confirmation / Approval Drawings for Structural Steel Products.
Work alongside Technical / Structural Engineers, producing detailed drawings to tight deadlines.
Review project specifications and ensure compliance with design provided by the project consulting Structural Engineer.
Liaise with client, Builder, Architect and or Structural Engineer to confirm design and dimensions.
Coordinate with Project Managers internally and externally to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent within a relevant discipline.
Proficiency in using Autodesk AutoCAD software.
Proficiency in Solidworks.
Knowledge in using Microsoft Applications.
Relevant experience within a Structural Detailing / Draftsperson role and producing manufacturing drawings.
An ability to interpret Architectural drawings, Structural Engineer's drawings and site survey measurements to produce detailed Confirmation and Fabrication Drawings.
Excellent Project Management skills to ensure deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
Target driven & ambitious.
An understanding of Tekla Structures or any other Steel Detailing/Design software.
A clear understanding of the commercial considerations of the industry.
