The Role:

The WPP agency Leadership teams, comprising of a Business, Operational, Creative and Strategic lead, work in partnership with our client\xe2\x80\x99s brand teams and an ecosystem of best-in-class creative agencies to ensure the service and work delivered is consistently of the highest quality.

We do this by leading weekly strategic decision-making sessions with clients and agencies, by making sure that from week-to-week, that the teams have the right people for the job and that the separate agencies work together as one.

The Operational Lead supports the Business Lead managing all operational aspects in the coordination of output of the creative agencies.

The role is both client-facing and operational, responsible for the delivery of the service on time and within budget for the global client team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee scope management and define client-facing workflows to ensure clearly defined roles and responsibilities across the agency and client teams.
  • Develop integrated, holistic timings and deliverables by project across the agencies to deliver work that meets client and WPP objectives.
  • Manage complex programs with multiple project workstreams, tracking agency engagement and delivery against milestones with both rigour and flexibility.
  • Implement and manage project management processes, steps, and sharing of best practices.
  • Facilitate and build effective working relationships between the client and agency teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning focused on inter-agency partnership, alignment to the latest business vision and understanding of the consumer.
  • Drive quarterly fee reconciliation and commercial discipline implementing processes for estimates, reporting and financial administration by project.
  • Acts as a central point of contact for agencies responding to and resolving questions, issues, and problems by project.
You:
  • 15 + years of experience in an integrated agency environment, leading projects and/or account management teams with client experience on large global brands.
  • Background in account management, project management or delivery, with strong client service and operational understanding.
  • Strong communicator - ability to forge positive relationships and facilitate an open style of communication.
  • Experience in building and maintaining effective working relations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with a complex matrix organization, leading by influence and persuasion.
  • Expertise in working with multiple agency partners to deliver omni-channel projects.
  • Experience of FMCG and retail technology brands (e.g. Dyson, Nespresso, mobile operators) is desirable.
  • Capable of working across multiple initiatives, disciplines and workstreams from end to end.
  • A self-starter with a bias towards action - proactive, positive, problem-solver.
