Project Director - Mechanical Commercial Fit-Out

North Acton, London

Salary: Up to 150,000 + Benefits Package

We at Smart4EPC are currently assisting our Top Ranked M&E client on their search for an accomplished

Project Director (Mechanical Bias)

to lead the delivery of prestigious

commercial office fit-out and shell & core projects

across Central London. This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of complex, high-value projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring exceptional quality, commercial success, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the mechanical delivery of major commercial fit-out and shell & core developments in Central London. Oversee project planning, design coordination, procurement, installation, and commissioning. Manage project teams, ensuring targets for programme, quality, safety, and cost are consistently achieved. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and main contractors. Provide technical direction, mentoring, and strategic leadership to project teams. Monitor financial performance, reporting, and forecasting to ensure projects remain on budget. Uphold company standards for health & safety, quality assurance, and environmental compliance.

Role Requirements:

Extensive experience as a

Project Director

or

Senior Project Manager

within the

MEP contracting or building services

sector. Strong

mechanical engineering background

, ideally degree-qualified or equivalent. Proven track record delivering

commercial office fit-out

and

shell & core

projects within Central London. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a collaborative, client-focused approach. Commercially astute with a thorough understanding of cost management and project governance. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
