The Role
To effectively manage all aspects of project delivery from order to installation, on standard / small works projects.
Duties of the Role
Attend project handover meetings with Sales & Project Manager.
Prepare technical specs and material lists for projects.
Liaise with suppliers to purchase materials and equipment.
Coordinate site activities with engineers, customers, and stakeholders.
Assist with labour planning for projects.
Create technical engineering drawings and documentation.
Develop project programmes as required.
Monitor project time, cost, and scope; address issues promptly.
Produce risk assessments and method statements for clients.
Store project documentation in a standardised format.
Lead assigned projects with minimal supervision.
Arrange and attend site visits with customers and for project kick-off.
Ensure project output meets budget expectations.
Negotiate and manage contracts and services for project needs.
Adhere to Health and Safety laws and relevant regulations.
Identify contract variations and negotiate costs with clients.
Support sales engineers on technical site visits and quotations.
Create technical files, acceptance documents, manuals, and records.
Raise purchase orders and document quality control on goods received.
Skills Required (Essential)
Experience of handling and successfully delivering projects up to a value of 10,000
Effective time management and organisational skills
A detailed knowledge of Engineering, and 415v machinery. (Motors, gearboxes etc)
The ability to manage and motivate staff
Excellent Communication Skills at all levels
Effective problem-solving skills
Competent in MS Word & Excel
Good understanding of technical engineering drawings (Mechanical & Electrical)
Understand relevant regulations and standards - Health & Safety at Work Act, LOLER, PUWER, BS 15011, BS 7121, BS 7671, Others.
Desirable Skills
Experience of handling and successfully delivering projects up to a value of 50,000
Detailed knowledge of Electric Travelling Overhead cranes and associated systems
Competent in MS Project.
Competent in AutoCAD
