Project Engineer



We are looking to take on board an experienced Project Engineer to work within our ever-growing engineering department.

The position would see you join as part of our engineering team focusing on project works, reporting to our Engineering Manager. The role would require you to be able to understand client's requirements and specifications for requested works before being able to cost items and works involved in order to provide the client with a fully detailed and accurate quotation. In addition to this you would be responsible for planning these works including ordering of material and organising man power to execute the works to a satisfactory conclusion for the client.

The main responsibilities will include: -

Liaising with other departments and clients to understand required works for pricing and quotation.

To ensure quoted works are within client's budgets and to any required specifications.

Review, price and issue tender quotes to client within deadlines set.

Being able to discuss and pass on information to other departments to allow works to be carried out after order.

Reading, understanding and responding to customer tender documents and queries.

Provide input to client technical and general arrangement drawings based on a good understanding of requirements.

Project manage these works to a satisfactory conclusion.

To be considered for this position you will ideally have a degree/HND in engineering, or an engineering-based subject, with ability to demonstrate solo and team working capabilities. A proven track record in project management is essential.

Qualifications & Training:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Fluent in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) with ability to familiarise yourself with in-house systems where required.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Good organisational and interpersonal skills with ability to converse with clients & suppliers.

Methodical approach to work and attention to detail.

Able to work under pressure and to deadlines issued.

Flexible and adaptable to organise works to suit company's needs.

Good ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.

Ability to produce technical drawings using AutoCAD software
