The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading capital projects that enhance the performance, safety, and efficiency of the manufacturing site and its equipment. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and continuous improvement to ensure operations are aligned with business goals and regulatory standards.
How You Will Make An Impact
Lead and manage capital projects focused on equipment, service, and infrastructure upgrades or renewals.
Develop comprehensive financial justifications and detailed project plans, including scopes of work for accurate cost estimation.
Deliver project milestones on time and within budget while ensuring robust documentation and training support.
Oversee contractor work and on-site activities throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
Ensure adoption of new and emerging technologies to maximize manufacturing efficiency and innovation.
Support equipment optimization to meet GMP standards and promote consistent, safe, and efficient operations.
Collaborate with Production Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues.
Drive and implement improvements in equipment performance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Maintain proper risk assessments and certifications (e.g., CE) for all production machinery.
Train Operators and Engineers to address recurring equipment and setup issues effectively.
What We Are Looking For
You hold a degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
At least 5+ years of experience leading complex engineering projects with a successful delivery track record within the pharmaceutical industry
You bring significant knowledge of Design and Construction projects, including GMP facility design and GxP process equipment, utilities, etc.
Proven experience in line management and leading multidisciplinary teams
Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and process systems
Preferably you have an official Project Management Qualification (e.g., APM PMQ or equivalent)
Strong Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) knowledge and focus (NEBOSH)
