About the role





As a Project Engineer, you will support the planning and execution of technical work packages, contributing to the efficient delivery of our projects. Working under the direction of a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager, you will assist in project planning, coordination, and reporting, as well as the preparation of project deliverables.





Your role will include supporting engagement with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams; attending project meetings; monitoring progress of assigned tasks; and ensuring that work is completed to the required technical and quality standards. You will help manage documentation, track changes, and contribute to the safe and effective execution of complex projects.





In addition, you will assist with quality assurance processes, contribute to the continuous improvement of internal technical procedures, and develop your technical and project management skills through close collaboration with senior engineers and other project stakeholders.

We are looking for a capable and motivated Project Engineer with a solid foundation in technical expertise, problem-solving, and creativity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic engineering environment. You will support the development of innovative, efficient, and reliable mechanical systems and components, contributing to the delivery of high-quality designs that meet industry standards and client needs. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline or have equivalent industry experience, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage assigned tasks effectively, and contribute to the successful delivery of engineering projects from concept through to completion.

Solid technical foundation in mechanical engineering and marine systems design Experience supporting project management activities, including planning, coordination, and execution of engineering tasks Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to contribute to innovative and efficient technical solutions Effective team collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, for coordination with clients and colleagues Ability to work proactively under pressure, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic project environment



Where will you be working?





We are based at the iconic South Rotunda building on the South bank of the River Clyde (just at the squinty bridge). There are numerous gyms and other facilities in the area and the upcoming (some say already arrived) area of Finnieston is a 15-minute walk where there are any number of bars and restaurants. Glasgow itself is a vibrant and welcoming city with character, personality and great experiences.
