The Electrical Project Engineer is a critical role responsible for managing the electrical engineering aspects and project delivery of multi-disciplinary projects on the new Northern Powergrid Framework. This includes high-voltage (HV), low-voltage (LV), protection and control (P&C), and commissioning systems. Reporting directly to the Framework Manager, the successful candidate will ensure that all electrical and civil works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
The role requires technical expertise in electrical engineering, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in electrical engineering roles within the construction, renewable energy, or utility sectors.
Strong knowledge of HV and LV systems, protection and control systems, and commissioning processes.
Experience with site supervision and managing contractors for electrical installations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse complex problems, make data-driven decisions, and develop innovative solutions to achieve project objectives.
Skills:
Technical expertise in HV/LV systems, protection relays and control systems.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
