PPI Engineering Ltd is a Norwich based engineering company which specialises in the supply and support of rotating electrical machines and associated equipment. The company has a strong engineering bias and designs products to customer specification.
We have a requirement for a Projects/ Contracts Engineer preferably with experience in handling technical customer project orders in a manufacture to order engineering business. The individual should be self-motivated, flexible and have some mechanical engineering and logistics knowledge.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a small team and would be required to undertake the following tasks -
Manage current projects and deliver on time, in budget.
Coordinating service engineers
Assist in the development of new business in the UK and overseas.
Liaise with the PPI Engineering team across departments in the UK and the commercial office in China.
Liaising, negotiating and building relationships with suppliers and Customers worldwide.
Provide technical, commercial and logistics support as required.
Some Clerical/Admin tasks - raising purchase orders, invoices and shipping documents
A knowledge of Microsoft Office and Access software would be an advantage.
The successful applicant would also be required to travel overseas to visit customers and suppliers.
Applications will be considered equally from those qualified by degree or by experience.
Training will be provided as required.
