Responsibilities

In this role, you will take the lead in conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for a diverse range of clients across multiple industrial sectors. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing data, applying LCA methodologies, and translating complex environmental impact assessments into actionable insights for businesses looking to improve their sustainability performance. Beyond LCA, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of sustainability initiatives, including the development of environmental product declarations (EPDs) and sustainability models that support clients in achieving their environmental goals. You will also play a key role in the creation and delivery of training materials and workshops, helping to upskill both internal teams and external stakeholders on sustainability best practices. As part of the Sustainability & Knowledge Transfer Group, you will work closely with colleagues across different disciplines, collaborating on research projects and producing industrial insight reports that shape sustainability strategies across multiple sectors. o Conduct and deliver LCAs, ensuring accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and clear communication of results. o Assist in the development and verification of EPDs for various industrial applications. o Support the creation of sustainability models to assess environmental impacts and improvements. o Contribute to the research, writing and publication of industrial insight reports on sustainability trends and best practices. o Develop and deliver training materials and presentations to internal and external stakeholders. o Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainability into wider engineering and manufacturing processes. o Stay up to date with sustainability regulations, methodologies and industry developments. o A hands-on practical and pragmatic approach to delivering results, based on knowledge and experience, whilst utilising the support of in-house technical resources. o Contributing to the long-term growth of the Innoval business through the identification and delivery of strategic initiatives. o Timely execution of tasks and delivery of results to ensure business financial targets are met. o Working responsibly and safely at all times and in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
Technical Requirements

o Degree in engineering, materials science, environmental science or related technical discipline. o Minimum of 2 years industrial or academic experience in a relevant field. o Experience in conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) in accordance with ISO 14040 / ISO 14044, using relevant software such as Life Cycle Assessment for Experts / GaBi. o Familiarity with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and sustainability reporting frameworks. o Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with an ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively. o Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment. o Strong attention to detail combined with excellent time management and organisational skills. o Knowledge of materials science/engineering and/or material manufacturing processes is beneficial but not required. o Passion for sustainability and a keen interest in driving environmental improvements across industries.
