We are looking to source a Project Engineer on a full time, permanent basis. Based at our facility in Wokingham, you will be a key contributor to the delivery of advanced structural monitoring systems for offshore and onshore energy infrastructure. This role demands a technically versatile individual adept in systems, electrical, and mechanical engineering, with the ability to bridge engineering with software development, commercial IT, and project delivery disciplines.
You will be responsible for translating client requirements into engineered solutions, coordinating across internal teams and engaging with external stakeholders, ensuring the successful deployment and commissioning of monitoring systems in complex environments. Your role will also be defined by clear RACIE responsibilities
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the technical execution of structural monitoring projects from concept to commissioning.
- Interpret and refine customer specifications into detailed engineering deliverables.
- Provide hands-on support during system integration, FAT/SFAT, and offshore commissioning.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), ensuring systems meet all technical and contractual requirements before deployment.
- Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, test plans, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and internal quality standards.
Required
- Maritime or offshore engineering experience.
- STCW / BOSIET, desirable but not essential.
- Experience with Lloyds Register / DNV Regulations.
- Degree or equivalent in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with software development (e.g., Python, C++, or embedded systems) and commercial IT (e.g., networking, cloud platforms) is advantageous but not required.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and financial tracking (e.g., cost control, forecasting).
- Proven experience in planning and executing FATs and system integration testing.
- Knowledge of offshore safety standards and operational protocols.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and client-facing environments.
