Kirbys construction is a small but growing business, we are a close and friendly team who work primarily in the healthcare and education sector tackling anything from refurbishments to new builds.
We are recruiting for a project manager to join us and help us manage all aspects of our construction projects including construction planning, scheduling, procurement and delivery.
The successful candidate will be working alongside the Managing Director and project administrator to see a project through from pre-start meetings right through to completion.
The day to day tasks involved will include:-
Taking responsibility for projects from the pre-start meeting through to completion.
Working with the project administrator to ensure all materials, contractors and plans are in place in advance of go-live.
Coordinating effectively with staff, clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities as required.
Liaise with clients, design teams, and other stakeholders to develop project scopes, technical solutions, and delivery plans
Monitoring project budgets and tracking costs to ensure financial targets are achieved.
Developing detailed project plans and ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and milestones.
Conducting regular site inspections to ensure the client is happy and work is progressing in line with quality and safety standards.
We love it when things go right but when issues occur, identifying and mitigating project risks, resolving site issues efficiently and proactively.
Ensuring full compliance with UK building regulations, CDM regulations, health and safety legislation, and environmental standards.
Providing regular project updates to both clients and the Managing Director.
Conducting Pre-snag report prior to official snagging meeting with the client and Managing Director.
Working Conditions: This role can involve hybrid working, with time split between home working, the Head Office in Ashford, Kent, and project sites across the United Kingdom.
Please note: Early morning starts or extended hours may be required to support project demands and customer needs.
Travel to multiple sites nationwide will be required, including overnight stays as necessary
