Project Manager ETA

The role will be based out of the office in Stoke-on-Trent and it would be advantageous to be able to work from the office full time.

What You Will Do

  • Take ownership of contract(s) from sales handover to delivery, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Review customer specifications and collaborate with internal teams to implement them effectively.
  • Maintain strict control over project costs to maximize profitability, tracking expenses and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Continuously monitor and improve project schedules, proactively identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work closely with internal resources, including engineering, procurement, and production teams, to ensure smooth project coordination and timely deliverables.
  • Resolve internal problems and challenges that may arise during project execution, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
  • Provide exceptional customer care and act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Freeze package designs with customers, ensuring alignment and agreement on design specifications.
  • Agree on documentation deliverables and oversee their timely completion, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement client changes expediently during the contract\'s life through variation requests and order amendments, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and provide progress reports to clients, keeping them informed of project status, milestones, and potential risks.
  • Conduct progress meetings with customers, addressing their concerns, clarifying specifications, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Expedite drawing and document approvals, closely monitoring timelines to ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to generate various project documents, including deliverables lists, quality plans/ITP\'s, project schedules, sub-order schedules, equipment lists, test procedures, data books, and operating and maintenance manuals.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all project documentation, conducting thorough checks and reviews.
  • Work closely with the quality management team to control the quality aspects of contracts, including coordination of inspections and review of supplier certifications.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and sub-vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate with administration resources for effective purchasing tasks, such as generating sub-order schedules, implementing terms and conditions, placing orders, negotiating variations, and supplier approvals.
  • Proactively manage supplier relationships, including bid evaluations, negotiations, and expediting suppliers when necessary.
  • Coordinate Eta projects, serving as a central point of contact between Eta engineers and internal disciplines, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Possess a bachelor\'s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management and engineering roles, preferably within the relevant industry (e.g., offshore/petrochemical).
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of project planning, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Proficient in coordinating and working with cross-functional teams and internal resources.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using project management tools and software.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage customer relationships and provide exceptional customer care.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical specifications and documents.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel overseas for client and supplier meetings.
