Based in Doncaster at the Bentley Works Facility. This provides a range of manufacturing, engineering and maintenance services, using specialist equipment and precision tooling. The facility provides the main hub for our internal piling and foundation equipment.
We require a Project Manager to join our growing team. The main responsibility would be for the operational delivery/management steel fabrication including site installation for the Fabrication Business Stream. The role will require early involvement in the design and manufacturing process and the management of all pre-commencement and on-site activities in delivering our steel/metalwork installations.
You Will:
Ensure Quality management compliance of all site operations with close working relations with the manufacturing and design team to ensure CDM requirements.
Provide preconstruction advice and assistance during enquiry and estimating phases.
Initiate the project with the Production Manager in the Fabrication facility for the build element of the works and liaise during the fabrication work
Liaise with the Design and Commercial Teams to ensure successful delivery/recovery on the project
Manage and liaise with clients and other stakeholders (internal and external)
Deliver project handover including the compilation of all completion documentation
Review employee performance and identify training needs, in conjunction, with the Supervisors and Operatives for the Fabrication Installation team
We're looking for:
Financial awareness to monitor and control budgets in conjunction with the Procurement and Commercial functions.
Decision making
Technical knowledge related to the project and in particular, steelwork installation
Understanding of structural design and temporary works
Experience in the management and inspection of temporary works
Experience in the preparation and management of all Risk Assessments / Method Statements.
Experience of the preparation and implementation of ITP's, briefings etc.
Management of Subcontractors throughout the Fabrication and installation process.
