Overview


The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of the new PEACEPLUS funded 'FLOW' (For the Love of our Waters) project for which ICBAN is the Lead Partner. This involves discharging the promotion, monitoring and reporting functions, thus ensuring set outcomes and results are delivered. The role will ensure cross-border collaboration approaches can deliver on the environmental and community objectives that are at the heart of the project.

Responsibilities



Coordinate the implementation of ICBAN's assigned Lead Partner responsibilities, thus ensuring that all assigned undertakings and targets are adequately addressed and surpassed. Effectively fulfil ICBAN's role in leading, managing and motivating Project Partners, and in providing developmental support and guidance. Identify and establish various Subgroups within the project partnership, where necessary, to advance collaborative activities. Create and develop novel solutions and approaches to project delivery challenges. Maintain robust standards of governance and compliance to maintain the reputation of the organisation as a model of best practice in cross-border development. Professionally lead, manage, and motivate ICBAN project staff, to effectively discharge assigned responsibilities. Develop and implement staff training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and project requirements. Foster a collaborative and inclusive project partnership environment by encouraging open communication, providing regular feedback, and recognising individual and collective achievements. Input into the communication requirements of the project, to help ensure that messages are appropriately delivered and objectives achieved. Lead on monitoring and evaluation, including developing and implementing processes and procedures on the delivery of project activities and outcomes against agreed aims, objectives and targets (financial and non-financial). Monitor expenditure against project budgets and work with Project Partners on resolving any variances, and managing related modifications requests to funders. Coordinate Project Partners to ensure effective quarterly reporting on activity progress and financial claims to funders. Coordinate and prepare regular update reports for ICBAN CEO / Management Board, project structures, funders and others as required. Undertake any other duties, within the postholder's competence necessary to meet the delivery of organisational and project objectives.
Essential Criteria

A third level qualification in a relevant field such as Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline. Proven experience in coordination, management and completion of complex projects of significant value. Experience in budget management and financial reporting. Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, funding bodies, and community organisations etc.

The 'FLOW' project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). This is a fixed term positions until 30 June 2029. ICBAN aims to secure further funded projects beyond this date and every effort will be made to provide continuity of employment beyond project completion dates, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 45 months

Pay: 38,220.00-40,777.00 per year
