Title: Technical IT Project Manager - Migration Project
Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Duration: 3 months initially, with potential extension
Location: Remote (UK-wide) or Hybrid (London)
Start Date: January 2026
Robert Half are supporting a Venture Build firm as they exit a successful venture. This contract role is focused on managing a complex carve-out and migration project for a leading technology organisation. The project involves transitioning systems to enable a venture to operate independently, requiring strong technical and project management expertise.
Project Context

• Objective: Complete a separation and migration of platforms and services for a newly independent entity.
• Scope: Includes Google Workspace and Slack migrations, integration with third-party vendors, and coordination across multiple technical teams.
• Complexity: Multi-platform migration, vendor accountability, and stakeholder engagement at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Migration Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a detailed migration plan, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate and hold third-party vendors accountable for deliverables.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Technical Oversight: Lead migrations with a focus on Google Workspace (Drive, Gmail, etc.) and Slack.

Essential Skills

• Google-to-Google Migration Expertise: Proven track record in similar projects.
• Hands-on Google Workspace & Slack Migration Experience: Deep technical understanding of these platforms.
• Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with AWS and GCP environments.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Strong communication and coordination skills.

Desirable Skills

• HRIS Platforms: Experience with HR systems such as HiBob (preffered).
• Atlassian Tools: Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, etc.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experienced IT Project Manager with a technical background.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Cloud platform familiarity (AWS/GCP).
• Vendor and stakeholder management experience in complex carve-out projects.
• Legal Entity rationilisation experience or similar will be highly desirable.
