Job Description


Key Accountabilities

  • Delivery of the project outputs, to agreed baseline (time, cost, quality)
  • Support delivery of IDT business objectives (orders, revenue, margin & cash).
  • Reporting progress on all accountabilities to programme / portfolio manager (or their delegate).
  • Manage all stakeholders & supporting functions to ensure that the system data is updated regularly to report the latest expectations for the work
  • Leading the generation of OBS, WBS, PBS and associated plans for bids, working in lockstep with the sales & bid manager to generate a compelling proposition in line with the budget / price to win.
  • Support achievement of business performance KPIs (milestone adherence, productivity, etc.)
  • Be the champion for what you are delivering, by providing project briefs to management / business development and attending coordination meetings to demonstrate synergies between ongoing projects and higher level \'campaigns
  • Establish and grow strong & trusted relationships with customers, partners and suppliers.
  • Proactive management to avoid issues occurring wherever possible, if not then the satisfactory resolution of conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the project and collaborating across QinetiQ.
  • Ensure all activities across project delivery are conducted in line with the Operating Framework
  • Establish and maintain clear communication & data storage, utilised by all project team members, (as required by project contractual & operating framework requirements)
  • Ensure ALL meetings have formal & agreed recording of minutes, actions, decisions, and those are managed through to completion.

  • Foundation Sales; being able to identify, qualify, develop and deliver solutions to your customers using an existing commercial framework contract (such as EDP) and be able to articulate the benefits of the QinetiQ solution to the customer.
  • Negotiation & Conflict Management; being able to identify and address differences of objective, attitude or perception in order to produce an agreed outcome for all parties.
  • Business Development; when required, work as a member of a capture team to generate delivery plans, risk registers and costings to support the creation of the proposal document.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
  • Demonstrable capability to International Project Management Association Level D.
  • Experience gained, typically rather than necessarily, between 1-3 years of leading a business, projects, programmes, portfolios or P3 function and successfully supporting the delivering projects.
