Employment type: Permanent/ Full Time Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 Standard Hours: Flexible start / 40 hours per week Location: Lee-on-the-Solent
We are looking for a dedicated Project Manager in the aerospace industry who can handle various responsibilities efficiently. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for tracking projects into the AeroTrac database system and forecasting delivery dates for milestones across different departments, such as Business Development, Commercial, Finance and Operations.



Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in monitoring project performance and promptly addressing any issues to meet customer expectations. You will create comprehensive project plans, including assumptions, dependencies, schedules, risk registers, communication plans, change management, and monitoring.



Ensuring on-time and on-budget project delivery will be a top priority, and you will coordinate design deliverables, liaise with parts procurement, and assist MRO and production teams during the installation phase.



Acting as a single point of contact for customers, you will provide regular reporting and communication, building strong customer and supplier relationships to enhance the Britten-Norman brand. Your skills will also be needed in handling external funding communications, managing project governance requirements, and ensuring adherence to commercial policies and procedures. Reporting expense variances and providing financial reporting for projects will be essential to maintain the cost budget. As a proactive leader, you will introduce performance metrics for projects and continually update project management policies and procedures to drive business improvement and customer satisfaction.



Actively seeking new opportunities and assisting in bids and proposals will be part of your responsibilities. Processing orders on the database system and monitoring market activity to identify potential opportunities will contribute to business growth. Your team management skills will play a key role in prioritising workloads and ensuring the team achieves company objectives. Continuous learning and compliance with company policies, regulations, and health and safety procedures will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





At least 2 years of experience in a similar size business as a Project Manager. Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships and promoting open communication. Experience using project management software and tools, including Microsoft Project or similar platforms Full UK Driving License Ability to achieve SC Clearance
