We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with specialist expertise in rail planning and project controls to join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda, contributing to a landmark project that will provide dependable, clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. As a key member of our Site Delivery Programme, you will take the lead in planning and delivering a complex portfolio of rail infrastructure projects. Your role will be critical in ensuring this vital component of the SZC project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. What you will be doing: Lead the Charge: Take ownership of the planning, coordination, and delivery of multi-disciplinary rail projects, from upgrades on the Saxmundham to Leiston branch line to the construction of new, temporary railheads and tracks. Master the Schedule: Develop, maintain, and integrate complex project schedules using Primavera P6, performing critical path analysis and what-if scenarios to ensure project milestones are met. Drive Project Controls: Establish and implement robust project controls for cost, risk, and change management, applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to track performance. Collaborate and Influence: Act as the project representative in external stakeholder working groups, engaging with key partners including Network Rail, local authorities, and supply chain contractors. Ensure Compliance and Quality: Manage NEC contracts, review contractor schedules (Clause 31/32), and ensure all works adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance, including CDM regulations and the GRIP process. What you will bring to the role: A proven track record of delivering multi-disciplinary rail projects in a complex, dynamic environment. Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and a deep understanding of project controls, integrated planning, and critical path analysis. Extensive experience with the Network Rail GRIP process and the NEC suite of contracts. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder relationships. Experience with linear scheduling methods (LSM) is highly desirable. A degree and chartered status in an engineering, construction, or related field.
