Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to oversee the operations and management of our site. Must be from a subcontract background and not main contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the site, coordinating with various teams, and implementing effective strategies to achieve project goals. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day to day on site health and safety and ensure compliance with the Company's health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
Work in conjunction with the Contracts Manager & Principal Contractor
Monitor progress of the build programme to ensure construction methods and timescales are met and take corrective action to bring progress back in line with programme.
Agree and manage the equipment, plant, staffing and sub-contract requirements for the site.
Issue requests for information and respond to all queries and action accordingly.
Manage quality assurance
Manage and oversee all aspects of the site operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects
Develop and implement project plans, including setting goals, objectives, and timelines
Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to timelines and budget
Provide leadership and guidance to the site team, fostering a positive work environment
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Implement cost control measures to optimize project expenses
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will need HND Civils/NVQ Level 6, SMSTS and first aid as a minimum.
They will be required to manage the health and safety and quality assurance on site and also to manage direct labour.
Minimum of 2 year's management experience working on projects that involved RC works, groundworks, basement works, piling and structural refurbishment.
Valid CSCS card
Valid Right to work code
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in cost control measures and budget management
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
