Are you interested in early pregnancy and reproductive timing? Or maybe the future of fertility control? Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a Project Manager to join the School of Social Sciences on a four year contract this Autumn.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager to support the work of a new research project funded by the Wellcome Trust: 'Contragestive Time: Pregnant Uncertainties in Fertility Control'. This is a part-time (17.5 hours a week), fixed-term contract for over four years, with a salary of 25,857 rising to 30,429 per year.
This project brings together clinicians, social scientists, lawyers, philosophers, humanities scholars and advocates to rethink concepts of early pregnancy and reproductive timing; challenge outdated legal and regulatory frameworks; test the feasibility of new clinical services; and engage with the public and policymakers to shape a more inclusive future for fertility control.
The Project Manager is a pivotal role, leading on the planning and coordination of the project's six research work-packages, and the delivery of their outputs.
You will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Lisa Baraitser, and the co-Investigators based at a number of different universities and partner institutions, as well as with a range of external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the project, with responsibility for a wide range of strategic planning, project coordination, and financial tasks.
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team, contributing to the success of an internationally significant programme of research. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong project coordination skills, communication skills, and a passion for making a difference. We are also seeking an Administrator & Events Co-ordinator role for this project, if you are interested in applying for both www.bbk.ac.uk/jobs
