The Role





We are looking for a passionate and experienced Project Manager to lead the non-construction elements of the Our Cultural Heart project during Phase 2, which will focus on the development of a Museum and Art Gallery. This is your chance to make a significant impact by planning and delivering key aspects of this high-profile cultural initiative. You will play a crucial role in stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and partnership management, ensuring the successful development of business and investment plans to secure external funding and sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and Inspire:

Support the delivery of non-construction elements for Phase 1 (library and public realm) and lead Phase 2 (Museum and Art Gallery) of the OCH project.

Collaborate and Innovate:

Engage with internal stakeholders across various departments to develop innovative plans and collaborative ways of working.

Manage and Execute:

Oversee project timetables, risk registers, and budgets for non-construction elements, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on target.

Fundraise and Advocate:

Lead fundraising efforts, including large-scale funding bids and sponsorship opportunities, to support the project's financial resilience.

Procure and Oversee:

Manage procurement for key contracts related to Phase 2, ensuring high standards and successful delivery.

Coordinate and Support:

Act as the client for the KMAG (Kirklees Museums and Galleries) service, ensuring alignment with the original Museum and Art Gallery vision and business case.

Plan for the Future:

Support the development of future phases of the OCH project, ensuring a strong cultural representation and seamless integration with existing facilities.
