Equans is looking for a Project Manager to join the team at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.





Reporting directly to Head of Projects, responsible for managing and executing a variety of projects across the QAH contract including CAPEX Projects and Lifecycle Planned Projects, showing at all times a strong methodical approach to project management with a good knowledge and understanding of CDM.



Working on Projects from inception to completion; specifying and assisting design solutions, producing pricing documents and proposals, liaising with client, taking instruction/orders for projects and ensuring delivery of the project via the companies' employees and subcontractors.



Ensuring project milestones and objectives are achieved and projects delivered on time within budget. Accountable day-to-day to all stakeholders including the EQUANS Head of Projects, SPV, client, and indirectly for sub-contractors plus financial responsibility for the delivery of Projects.


What will you deliver?




To act as Principal Contractor under CDM2015 Ensure the Quality System is implemented and maintained on all projects Ensure Equans & CDM documentation is prepared for all projects Nominate and manage project engineers, designers, contractors & reviewers for projects where appropriate Ensure the highest standards of performance and conduct are maintained at all times Maintain the Equans & Clients standards and corporate responsibilities Ensure current health, safety and environmental legislation is followed Liaise with Project Co-ordinators/Managers of other Company disciplines Check job-costing results for projects handled. Ensure correctness prior to closing off for the month Take responsibility for financial performance of projects under your direct control Assist with Finance/Commercial to overview financial performance Ensure that contracts are appropriately administered, fee invoices are submitted regularly, fee variation claims supported and submitted in a timely fashion To act as the main point of contact, when applicable, between staff, contractors and client Maintain close client contact throughout projects to ensure that the Companies position from both technical reputation and financial performance is enhanced at all times Participate in regular meetings as required to discuss management, technical and financial issues

Who are we looking for?




Previous experience in a Project Management or a senior technical management role in Facilities/Hard FM marketplace, a background in Healthcare is highly desirable PD (Principal Designer) and/or PC (Principal Contractor) Experience Electrical, Mechanical & Construction background essential NEBOSH/IOSH or a health & safety qualification with a strong engineering knowledge A thorough knowledge of all aspects of Project management Excellent communication skills, to include pro-active communication with staff, peers and stakeholders Proven ability to handle multiple project assignments Commercially aware, reliable and IT literate with skills covering MS Project, Word and Excel

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
