As part of our integrated services, you will be working on complex industrial projects and engineering design projects, ensuring site projects run smoothly for our client based on a large site in Lancashire.


This is a pivotal client facing role, where providing our clients with the right solution, on time and on budget is central to success; candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills in addition to extensive relevant industrial experience, project delivery expertise, and technical knowledge.


Ideally, you will have a range of Engineering efficiency knowledge, and the professional qualifications to endorse this. You will own delivery of our Projects, oversee and sign off work produced by our Engineers, co-ordinating, managing their outcomes, supervising them and supporting their development as they progress. As such, you will need significant experience in a variety of Process or Mechanical Engineering skills and technologies in order to confidently approve, improve, and add value to each project.

The role highlights:

Site based for an initial 12-14 months, with options to extend for future opportunities Access to a team of reliable professional and ambitious technical Engineers, Subject Matter Experts who share the company's mission, vision and values Able to lead our work on sustainability and decarbonisation projects and use holistic analysis of existing and improving processes to determine the best solution for each Project. Act as a Project Delivery expert, managing each project plan to partner with clients on various solutions; from concept/feasibility through to detailed design and implementation. Experience working as a client-focused engineer, delivering on projects, typically within manufacturing facilities/factories and projects relating to utility plants and systems. Experience of modelling and implanting changes critical to site optimization Process design knowledge in checking and assisting preparation of flowsheets, PFDs, and P&IDs Propose additional value to each project where suitable and in fitting with our service provision Drive the continuous improvement process and mentoring of developing engineers within the organisation. Sets and upholds standards of operating excellence using the BMS and internal processes.

Desirable Skills and Interests:

HAZOPS - implementation knowledge; overseeing safety design reviews Interpretation of technical scopes, technical drawings, site design drawings. Project Management qualification (of relevance) in Engineering Credible, client-facing site experience Leadership/Supervisory experience to coach, manage and oversee outputs of our Project Engineers. Construction management - feasibility, risk, H&S, Construction Design Management REGS Autonomous, commercial profit and delivery focus, problem solving, guidance and planning with teams and alone Evidence of successful projects of similar size/value/budget & type Able to answer technical questions about utility plants and systems/manufacturing sites, improving efficiency of the plant and identifying opportunities for improvements Deeper knowledge of applied change implications and methods.

Qualifications and Additional Requirements:

Professional Engineer with a recognised institution preferred but not essential. Degree or higher in a relevant technical Engineering discipline. Highly PC Literate - MS office, MS Project plus other relevant softwares. Current Driving License and own vehicle. Project Management qualification and further mentoring or leadership experience Starter - Completer work ethic, accountable and able to lead with confidence.

This position would be offered on a Hybrid basis, reporting to our client site in Lancashire, or on a work from home basis with travel to client site.
