Project Manager - Structured Cabling
Location: Nottingham (travel to client sites as required)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee structured cabling projects across multiple sites. This role involves managing the full project lifecycle--from design and procurement to installation, testing, and commissioning--while ensuring compliance with health & safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Manage structured data cabling projects (Cat5e, Cat6/6a, fibre, Wi-Fi design, survey and implementation) to meet time, cost, and quality objectives
Develop project plans, resource schedules, and coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
Control budgets and produce monthly financial reports
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety policies
Act as the primary client contact, providing updates and resolving issues promptly
Maintain accurate documentation and handover packs
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in structured data cabling project management
Strong technical knowledge of Cat5e/6/6a cabling, fibre optics, Wi-Fi and containment systems
Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent certification
SMSTS or ECS Health & Safety Manager card desirable
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Experience
Data centre, telecoms, or smart building environments
Industry accreditations (CompTIA, C&G, MCSE)
Ability to manage Moves/Adds/Changes (MAC) projects and civil works
