Project Manager - Asset Intelligence

Warrington

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the team at Galliford Try within our Asset Intelligence Business.


Ideally, you will based in or around the Warrington area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.


Manage end-to-end project delivery, from pre-construction through to handover and close-out. Lead project teams including design, commercial, construction, and commissioning functions. Take full ownership of programme, cost, quality, and risk across assigned projects. Operate confidently under NEC contracts (ECC Option A/C/E), including early warning management, compensation events, and programme updates. Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager to manage budgets, forecast cost-to-complete, and deliver margin targets. Oversee subcontractor procurement and performance, ensuring works align with technical specs and contract obligations. Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Champion health, safety, environment, and well-being on site, ensuring alignment with company and legislative standards. Lead contract progress meetings and contribute to internal reporting, governance, and business improvement initiatives. Ensure quality assurance, commissioning protocols, and regulatory compliance are rigorously adhered to in water, security, and fire systems installations.

About You:

Essential:


Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly ECC Options A, C, and E. Background delivering fire safety, water infrastructure, or high-security projects. Excellent commercial awareness and contract management capability. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams. Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project) and reporting systems. Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction HSE best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:


Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certifications. Experience with government or critical national infrastructure clients. Experience within the Water Industry sector Experience delivering projects for a Tier 1 Contractor Security clearance (or ability to obtain SC clearance) where required.
