The Role: Chassis Project Manager



We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Chassis Project Manager to oversee a range of motorsport customer projects focused on chassis-specific components. This role requires a strong balance of technical insight, commercial acumen, and relationship management.

You will function as the primary point of contact for your allocated customers and be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of projects, controlling costs, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and communication. The position also offers the opportunity to lead junior staff within the project management function.

Key Responsibilities



Manage customer relationships and function as a key liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders. Promote an understanding of customer requirements across the business. Confirm deliverable timelines are achievable before order acceptance. Oversee the quotation process, including cost compilation and final submission, with Business Manager approval when required. Consult with the GTR design team to clarify and finalise engineering requirements. Conduct contract reviews and coordinate with departmental managers to ensure clear deliverables and project feasibility. Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing documentation. Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation. Provide and review customer quotations and support commercial negotiations. Identify, manage, and communicate project risks as necessary. Monitor and respond to customer revisions, working closely with design and production teams. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Regularly review project costs and margins to ensure profitability. Support and guide team members within the project management department. Maintain full compliance with the company's MRP system (Progress Plus preferred) and internal business processes.

What We're Looking For



A proactive, self-starting approach with high energy and a positive attitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Degree in Engineering or relevant first hand industry experience. Previous experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced manufacturing environment, composites or motorsport experience is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project. Experience using MRP systems (Progress Plus preferred). Solid understanding of composite and metallic materials, including associated processes. Knowledge of engineering manufacturing processes and lifecycle management. A collaborative mindset and strong people skills to support cross-functional teamwork.

Working Hours & Benefits



Core working hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing by 1 day per year of service, up to 5 additional days) Flexible working arrangements available (subject to senior management approval) Occasional travel may be required, depending on project needs.

Due to the dynamic and evolving nature of our business, additional duties may be assigned as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 40,000.00-42,000.00 per year
