As Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and delivery of a range of utility-scale photovoltaic solar projects in the UK. The Project Manager will need to oversee the wider team throughout the development, construction, commissioning, and turnover to Operations stages.
What will you be doing?
Identify, deploy, and manage a high-performing team needed to accomplish business objectives. Provide a positive and engaging work environment
Define and document RFPs and scope of work packages for 3rd party EPC firms. Participate in sub-contractor selection and contract negotiation
Act as the Project Manager for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) on distributed generation and utility PV solar projects across the UK
Responsible for adjusting the project schedule, as work is completed - and navigating any issues that may arise
Coordinate with the client, sub-contractors and equipment vendors to ensure adherence to and compliance with contract terms and delivery of contractual deliverables
Manage activities of internal team of project engineering, asset management, legal and accounting staff as well as deliverables of EPC, client, regulatory and permitting authorities
Manage the collection, organisation and filing of all project documentation, both internally and for external third-party stakeholders
Providing regular and direct feedback on performance and goal progress
Ensures that project is constructed safely and to high quality standard and that the team are resourced correctly to complete on time and budget
Review budget and cost to complete projections
Generate internal reports and conferences for updates relating to project updates, personnel, budget review and schedules
Implement and Review Safety Management Systems, Quality Management Systems and Environment Management Systems
Take project through PAC and handover to O&M
What are we looking for?
Professional experience in a project management role
Experience within EPC construction, particularly technical knowledge across civil, electrical and structural disciplines
Willingness and ability to travel
Liaising with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and suppliers
Proven ability in meeting business and organisational objectives
Budgets & P&L's project delivery
