Project Manager - Telehouse South (London)

A multinational construction and development company are seeking to recruit multiple Project Managers to work on site based at Telehouse South, London, on a contract basis. The client is one of the largest construction companies in the world.

About the role:

Effectively and professionally lead day to day Design and Construction management of significant elements on large scale projects, including procurement, installation, and commissioning.

Represent the company at meetings, promote the correct company image and ensure staff are aware of their responsibilities in this area.

Lead the management of design consultants to ensure information is provided to suit the procurement strategy, manage the production of working drawings by trade contractors within the given time frames.

Oversee all works of the trade contractors, contributing to the selection of key specialists, suppliers, productions including the production of working drawings, procurement and prefabrication and performance on site.

Develop clear, detailed and practical measures of performance to meet project objectives (Planned vs Actual). Regularly inspect works for compliance with design and report on progress, ensuring remedial action is taken within agreed timelines.

Implement a good communications strategy within the project to ensure that all team members are regularly briefed and providing regular reports to monitor performance, risk and opportunity management and highlight issues at an early stage.

What You Will Need:

Construction related qualification to HNC level.

Member, or working towards membership, of a professional institution (MCIOB highly desirable)

Be in possession of a current Managers CSCS card and other relevant qualifications including SMSTS

Suitable experience as a Project Manager on similar size, and type, projects for a tier 1 main contractor.

Have significant site based managerial experience and ideally management of people

Thorough understanding of the construction process & sequence, able to provide innovative solutions.

Previous experience working within the Data Centre industry/sector preferred.

Previous experience with party wall agreements preferred.

Previous experience of demolition and steel frame construction preferred.

Previous experience of managing multiple trade contractors including MEP
