Carmarthenshire Compass Service are looking for a

Project Officer

to join our team on a part time

(12 hours per week) basis on a fixed term contract until March 2027,

with the possibility of a two-year extension

. Your role will be to work with people with learning disabilities to raise awareness of the service and to support adults with a learning disability to co-produce the kind of services they want to see.


Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for applications from people who identify as having a learning disability or additional learning needs



This role will not be office based as there will be a need to regularly travel around the Carmarthenshire area.



The Project Officer you will:


Support the team to raise awareness of the service amongst people with a learning disability in the area Attend events to promote the service Build relationships with adults with a learning disability in order to support them to communicate what they need in their communities. Build networks across local community groups Explore opportunities for people with LD to connect with other people and community groups within the Carmarthenshire area Support people with learning disability build trust and belief in themselves Work closely with members of the team

Yn creu rhwydweithiau ar draws grwpiau cymunedol lleol Yn archwilio cyfleoedd i bobl ag anabledd dysgu gysylltu a phobl a grwpiau cymunedol eraill o fewn ardal Sir Gaerfyrddin Yn cynorthwyo pobl ag anabledd dysgu i feithrin ymddiriedaeth a chred ynddyn nhw eu hunain Yn gweithio'n agos gydag aelodau o'r tim
