We are LWMTS, a company wholly owned by Lichfield District Council. A local authority in the Heart of England that provides local services to over 100,000 residents. Our District is a beautiful place to live and work, with its historic city centre which has the impressive Lichfield Cathedral and is the birthplace of Samuel Johnson.

JOB PURPOSE

We're looking for an experienced Project Officer who will play a key role in delivering property and capital projects from start to finish. They will be responsible for making sure that all activities across a project are planned, co-ordinated, and delivered within budget, and to agreed quality standards. effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and deliver projects by co-ordinating tasks, schedules, resource and information Track project progress against plans, highlight risks or delays and prepare regular process reports for the Project and Property director and stakeholders. Act as a point of contact for internal teams, external partner, contractors, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication. Assist with project budget monitoring, process invoices and purchase orders, and maintain accurate financial records in line with the organisation procedures. Maintain accurate project files and records ensuring that project documentation meetings audit and compliance requirements.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience in working in a similar role with the relevant sector (e.g. local authority, construction, housing, private sector) Experience of using standard office IT Systems (e.g. Word, email, Excel, project tracking tools) Understanding of project management principles and processes. Knowledge of administrative procedures and record keeping. Experience of supporting the delivery of project programmes within a team environment. Experience of coordinating multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders. Awareness of Health & Safely, equality and diversity and data protection relevant to project work. Understanding of risk management and quality assurance in project delivery.
