The Project Preservation & Completion Manager is responsible for the fulfillment of completion and preservation activities of wind turbine components that are delivered from the GE Supply Chain and GE factories at the Marshalling Harbour.



You will be responsible for the organization and operational performance of preservation at the Marshalling Harbour of turbine components delivered from factories and stored at the Port, as well as for the management of commissioning completion activities for items that may not conform to the contract specification, before the handover to the client. The key objective is to deliver the components in a good and contractually compliant condition to the Installation vessel, in view of its installation and commissioning

You will be responsible for the organization and operational performance of preservation at the Marshalling Harbour of turbine components delivered from factories and stored at the Port, as well as for the management of commissioning completion activities for items that may not conform to the contract specification, before the handover to the client. The key objective is to deliver the components in a good and contractually compliant condition to the Installation vessel, in view of its installation and commissioning offshore.



This role is to be based on site at Nigg in Scotland, permanent position is preferred but rotation 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off could be an option. Onboarding training would be done with the Able Seaton site team and will be required to travel regularly to Able Seaton Port in order to get the lessons learned and GE working culture

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for all Completion & Preservation activities related to the construction and commissioning on site, from site mobilization, through erection and commissioning work as well as management of activities related to this scope, i.e., Manpower, spares, documentation, and quality Develops and implements the preservation plan and strategy based on the project with the Preservation and Completions leader Develops and implements the completion plan and strategy in conjunction with the GSC, Quality dept., Sourcing dept. Management and planning of all preservation personnel requirements and operational performance activities related to testing and validation of instrumentation components & controls systems of the equipment in accordance with the design objectives / specifications for operational use. Skills Management of team members related to EHS, awareness, and performance. Manage preservation and completion subcontractors. Participate to daily Toolbox, organize and lead weekly coordination meetings for preservation and completion activities Manage the handover of equipment (nacelles, towers, blades) during various project phases Review and approve supplier invoices Responsible for the project preservation budget Track preservation and completion activities KPIs and report to the client Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvements activities Deliver progress reporting to the management team, with escalation of potential roadblocks and risks In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions. Required Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience/knowledge Good, strong Wind turbine experience, minimum 3 years of experience in electrical systems. This role requires advanced experience in the Project Management & Commissioning.
Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
