Job Description

Our client, a modern and progressive law firm renowned for delivering first-rate client care, is seeking to appoint a skilled Post Completion Manager within their residential conveyancing team. This permanent, full-time role will be based at the Greater Manchester office 2 days a week and 3 days from home, offering an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the vital post-completion stage of property transactions and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the process.


37,000 - 40,000, Hybrid Working, Permanent, Near Salford, commutable from Bolton and West Manchester areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the full range of post-completion formalities for residential conveyancing transactions, including the submission of SDLT returns, Land Registry applications, and dealing with any requisitions or delays promptly and efficiently. Manage and grow a team in post-completion including any training and development. Oversee the preparation, review, and dispatch of documentation to clients, lenders, and all relevant parties following completion. Monitor pending tasks and deadlines using the firm's digital case management system to ensure regulatory and contractual requirements are met. Maintain accurate records, updating internal systems to reflect the status of every case and ensuring compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) standards. Proactively resolve any post-completion issues, liaising confidently with clients, colleagues, lenders, HM Land Registry, HMRC, and third parties as necessary. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of post-completion workflows by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and consistency.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Needed



Previous experience handling post-completion work within a residential conveyancing or property law environment is highly desirable. Comprehensive understanding of SDLT requirements, Land Registry application processes, lender post-completion protocols, and regulatory compliance obligations. Excellent organisational abilities, with a track record of managing large volumes of cases simultaneously and a meticulous approach to documentation and record-keeping. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to interact with a variety of clients and external stakeholders in a professional and supportive manner. Sound problem-solving skills and the initiative to deal with post-completion issues swiftly, reducing risk to the client and firm. Proficient IT skills, including experience with case management software and standard Microsoft Office applications. Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to upholding the highest standards of client care and integrity at every stage of the process.
