As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial aspects of our projects and help drive successful delivery from start to finish.

Role Overview
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will be responsible for managing project-specific budgets, cost control, contract administration, and commercial reporting--ensuring each project achieves its financial targets while maintaining quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities



Project Cost Management: Lead cost planning, budget setting and ongoing cost control for assigned projects. Valuations & Payment Applications: Prepare interim valuations, manage applications for payment, and oversee subcontractor assessments. Commercial Ownership: Take full commercial responsibility for individual projects, including forecasting, procurement, and reporting. Contract Administration: Administer main and subcontractor contracts, including variations, claims and final accounts. On-site Coordination: Work closely with site managers, project teams and clients to ensure alignment on scope, timelines and costs. Procurement & Supply Chain Management: Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors; manage purchase orders and agreements. Risk & Opportunity Analysis: Identify commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring proactive measures are taken to protect project margins. Reporting: Produce accurate cost/value reconciliations and project reports for internal and client use.

Requirements



Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK, ideally with project-level responsibility on residential or commercial builds. Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. MRICS or working towards chartership preferred. Technical Proficiency: Experience using industry tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel, project management systems). Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to interpret drawings, contracts, and financial data to inform project decisions. Communication: Confident in leading discussions with clients, consultants and subcontractors. Self-Management: Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities across a project lifecycle with minimal supervision.
