Role Overview
As Project Quantity Surveyor, you'll own the financial success of each project. Partnering with Project Managers, you'll set and manage budgets, negotiate contracts, control costs and identify value-engineered solutions--ensuring every job meets its targets without sacrificing quality.
Key Responsibilities
Budget Management:
Establish and monitor project budgets; track actuals vs. forecasts and implement corrective actions.
Procurement & Contracts:
Source suppliers, obtain competitive bids, negotiate terms and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors and vendors.
Propose cost-saving design or material optimizations without compromising standards.
Risk & Change Management:
Identify cost and schedule risks; manage change orders and negotiate adjustments to maintain profitability.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, company policies and ethical standards.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on industrial, commercial or public-sector construction projects.
Strong commercial acumen and hands-on expertise in budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
Excellent negotiation, communication and reporting skills.
Proficiency with QS software and Microsoft Office.
Relevant professional qualification and a full UK driving licence.
