Job Advert Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Assistant to join the Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Wales in Bridgend.
Counter Terrorism Policing is a collaboration of UK police forces working with the UK intelligence community to help protect the public and out national security by preventing, deterring, and investigating terrorist activity.
We are seeking to recruit a Project Support Assistant to join a small team who provide support to officers and staff across CTP Wales.
The role will require the applicant to carry out general administrative duties which may include word processing/keyboarding, formatting documents, co-ordination of office diaries, ordering, mail collection and distribution, filing and storage of information and minute taking. It will also cover the provision of support to the Senior Leadership Team to conduct work at a national level.
The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy environment. You should be highly competent in all Microsoft Applications and be able to retrieve and update considerable records/data with both manual and national systems. You will carry out a wide range of functions including support relating to HR, Estates, Finance, Health and Safety Compliance, and general administration functions to support operational policing.
We are looking for a team player who is a good communicator, has a keen eye for accuracy and detail, who can work well with others but also work alone on projects. We will require you to engage with internal and external customers and provide a high-quality standard of service.
If you would like any more information about the role, please contact HR on 01656 869224.
We support and encourage flexible and agile working, and welcome applications from those interested in working either full or part time.
You may have the flexibility to work from home in accordance with the requirements of the role and current working policies.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/DV level. The post will also require the successful completion of an additional security induction process, part of which requires pre-screening checks of nationality and foreign connections. It must be stressed that this is in addition to force management vetting. Candidates must achieve both clearances to take up this post.
Please note, if you are an internal candidate and subject to an ongoing PSD investigation, your appointment or placement in the role may be delayed pending an outcome. Whether the role is held open will be considered on a case-by-case basis
