Smart Outdoor Media Ltd are a North-East based outdoor advertising, media and communications specialist. The group comprises of:

Smart Outdoor; the largest provider of large-format digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising screens in the North-East of England,

SMB; a Manchester-based media buying agency, and

Smart Vision Screens; a pioneering LED screen specialist, offering design, fabrication, installation, and aftersales care of large format LED screens across venues such as bars, sports stadiums, retail centres, hotels, container parks, and roadside advertising sites.

The Role

The Project Support team member will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects across Smart Outdoor. This position ensures that project documentation, coordination, and communication are managed effectively, enabling the Projects team to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations. In this role, you will also assist in the development and maintenance of LED systems for outdoor environments. You don't need years of experience--just a solid understanding of technology, a willingness to learn, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

Provide essential support to the Projects team by coordinating activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring effective communication between stakeholders. Assist with scheduling, resource management, and compliance to deliver projects on time and within budget. Prepare reports, handle administrative tasks, and contribute to the smooth execution of all project phases.

Act as a point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely updates.

Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project activities to ensure timely delivery.

Handle project-related administrative tasks such as purchase orders, invoicing, and meeting minutes.

Work with subcontractors to diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.

Complete project-based documents for site hand over under supervision.

Work with teams to plan and implement projects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Participate in training programs to develop technical and professional skills.

Maintain accurate records of work progress and report to supervisors.

Ensure compliance with H&S policies

Prepare regular status reports for the Head of Projects and senior management

Requirement and skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Can produce reports for stakeholders and collate desired technical information well.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.

Reliable and able to manage time effectively

Familiarity with technology or electronics (even hobby-level experience).

Knowledge of outdoor advertising or media industry is an advantage.

Previous experience in a project support role is desirable.

Driving licence is desirable
