Dyfrig House provides supported accommodation for individuals who have experienced homelessness and who are motivated to address their problematic alcohol and substance use issues. We support these individuals by engaging them with recovery & treatment services and through providing housing related support so that they can live independently. We are looking for a Project Worker to join our team.

Where does the role fit in?

Dyfrig House is a specialist service that provides supported accommodation to homeless people recovering from alcohol and substance use issues or been involved with Criminal Justice Services. Dyfrig House works with Pobl's treatment services as well as local recovery services to support people on their journey to recovery and facilitate a positive move on into independent living and re-settling into the community. This is an exciting opportunity as no 2 days are the same and you would be part of a team that is fundamental in providing high quality support to all the people we support.


As a Project Worker you will lead each shift by managing the scheme and overseeing the Scheme Support Officers.

Your day will consist of:

Engaging and interacting with the people we support Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are Supporting Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing Liaising with external agencies Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have Building community links and establishing partnerships that benefit our customers Our motivation is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse, and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental and manage disputes or conflicts appropriately.

What are the pay and benefits?

Full-Time 37hrs, Permanent position Competitive salary of 26,072.00 Our service is 24/7 and this is a day and nights post based on a rolling rota. Which would involve day shifts and weekends, there may be an occasional requirement to cover wakeful nights. It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full driver's licence and access to a vehicle. An enhanced DBS check is required for the role, which we will pay for 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays Pension scheme Sick Pay Bespoke learning pathway with the support from an experienced Learning and Development team Internal Progression Wellbeing and psychological support Time for Talk service 45p per mile
