Dehum is one of the UK's leading specialists in industrial dehumidification and humidity-control engineering. Based in Glossop, Derbyshire, we design, manufacture, and maintain bespoke air handling systems that optimise production performance, protect assets, and reduce energy costs for our clients.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Project Manager

to oversee the full lifecycle of humidity-control and air handling projects, from design coordination and procurement to installation, commissioning, and handover.

This role combines technical understanding with commercial awareness and requires someone who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining close communication with clients, engineers, and suppliers. You will ensure that every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to Dehum's exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of assigned projects from order to completion. Plan, coordinate, and manage resources to deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget. Act as the key point of contact for clients, providing updates, resolving issues, and maintaining long-term relationships. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project execution. Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. Monitor budgets, approve expenditures, and report on project performance to senior management. Prepare and maintain documentation such as risk assessments, project schedules, and O&M manuals. Ensure compliance with company quality systems, CDM regulations, and health and safety standards. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Dehum's project delivery processes.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Proven experience managing mechanical, electrical, or HVAC-related installation projects. Strong technical understanding of air handling or process engineering systems. Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Confident communicator with a professional approach to clients and suppliers. Competent in the Microsoft Suite, Excel, and other project management software. Knowledgeable of CRM systems. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering. Experience within dehumidification, air handling, or environmental control industries. Knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety documentation. Experience leading installation teams and managing subcontractors.
