We are looking to appoint a Projects Officer. The role of Projects Officer is critical to the success of the Educational Support & Growth Department in meeting this target and will provide high quality support across a range of projects and departments.
The Project Coordinator will support the PMO team in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves coordinating with various teams, managing project documentation, and facilitating communication among stakeholders.
Located in Edgbaston with the flexibility to work from home, this 12-month fixed-term role offers a unique opportunity to work for a strong Academy Trust. Responsibilities
Coordinate project activities, resources, and information.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
Prepare and distribute project reports and documentation.
Ensure compliance with all project management standards and methodologies.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, timeframes, schedules, and budgets.
Organise and attend stakeholder meetings, and ensure all actions are documented and followed up.
Support the Head of Strategic Projects and Management in the implementation of project management tools and best practices.

Person Specification
Essential
Knowledge and experience
Experience of working on complex projects
Knowledge of the different ways in which projects can be effectively delivered
Experience of organising meetings and workshop events
Experience of writing high quality briefings and minutes
Excellent communication skills
Desirable
Experience working in the secondary education sector
Experience of using MS Project or Project Management tracking tools
Experience supporting budget management
Experience of analysing and presenting data using technology
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience. There may be an opportunity to complete a Project Management level 4 apprenticeship, leading to Prince2 or APM qualifications, if the successful applicant wishes to.
GCSE Mathematics - Grade C (or Equivalent) or above
Desirable
Formal qualifications in Project Management, such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, CSM etc.
