About the role
We have an exciting new vacancy available within our Trading Support team for a Promotions Assistant.
In this role you will facilitate and administer promotional activity to ensure that the objectives set out in our Trading Briefs are met to deliver the consumer/retailer offer, drive sales and margin.
In addition you will deliver promotional activities and data inputs by ensuring that all promotional planning and preparation is completed accurately and on time in accordance with the documented processes, systems and calendars.
You will be responsible for
Ensuring that the promotion master sheets are fully prepared and complete before being extracted.
Completing any data preparation for the Promotions Co-Ordinator as inputs to the promotions meetings.
Providing any support to ensure that promotion meeting actions are chased up and closed out.
Running promotion data validation reports to ensure recipients fix any set-up issues and gaps (e.g. pre-checks).
Liaising with other departments at all levels to get the job done correctly and accurately on time.
Managing all amends for the Retail fascia brands and ensure that the correct communications are being sent and promotion data is maintained accurately.
SAP keying and data validations for some promotions (e.g. Booker National Deals not part of the Retail offer)
Proof reading marketing outputs alongside checks and chase missing ads for publication and corrections.
Running extracts for Supply Chain/Marketing/Ops/SAP Keying.
Liaising with other functions to ensure data issues are dealt with and to prevent any future re-occurrences.
Maintaining and develop new promotion processes and systems to deliver on-going ways of working and reporting improvements/simplification.
Running weekly price comparison checks.
Ensuring that any support and data validations between promotions and other activity are planned and completed accurately and on time (e.g. seasonal pre-sell, Chancellor's Budget).
Dealing with ad hoc queries that come into the department (e.g. Brand Teams, Category Managers, Trading Admin, Supply Chain etc).
Running status checks to ensure all SKU's are live before retailer buy-in starts.
Providing support for the team in managing other activity outside of promotions (e.g. seasonal pre-sell, projects)
You will need
Good communication skills.

Retail/wholesale experience.
Office 365 and especially Excel (min intermediate level).
