CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, full-time, in store. This role is typically Monday to Friday, but some weeks will be Tuesday to Saturday.

LOCATION: London Elstree



PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 31,559 - 34,559 (plus London Weighting at 5441) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Join the multi award-winning EastEnders team as a Prop Hand and play a key role in bringing story-driven content to life. You'll work flexibly across disciplines to support the Design and Art Departments, ensuring sets and props meet design specifications, schedules, and health & safety standards. In this role, you will assist with set dressing and prop management, applying creative problem-solving for repairs and alterations, and contributing to the efficient operation of the Prop Store and studio environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ensure compliance with production and health & safety standards across sets. Assist Designers with set dressing and soft furnishings (linens, drapes, upholstery) to meet block-specific requirements. Manage prop supply and logistics, including auditing orders, maintaining reusable props, and supporting storage reorganisation. Support prop making and repairs to uphold creative vision and continuity. Organize and maintain the prop store, including cataloguing, stock monitoring, and replenishing consumables. Collaborate with key stakeholders (Design team, Prop Master, Art Directors, Buyers, Construction Managers) to ensure sets and props meet design specifications and schedules. DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
Previous experience in TV/film set dressing and prop making, supported by credits or portfolio. Skilled in cataloguing systems for props and furniture, with experience managing stock levels and maintaining continuity across productions. Certified in COSHH, Health and Safety, and Basic Food Hygiene. Trained in Safe Working at Heights and Manual Handling. Experienced in Teddy Truck and Forklift operation. Disclaimer
