Assistant Property Manager (Part-Time - 3/4 Days a Week)

Assistant Property Manager
to support the management of a diverse residential property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of day-to-day property management and strategic decision-making
Liaise with agents to ensure properties are let at optimal market rates
Act as point of contact for tenants where no managing agent is appointed
Ensure all properties are compliant with current legislation (EPCs, EICRs, gas safety, etc.)
Manage and coordinate renovations, liaising with builders and contractors
Oversee the sale or purchase of properties, acting as key liaison with agents and solicitors
Assist with legal matters, such as disputes, lease extensions, and tenant evictions
Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and migrated to the cloud
Liaise with bookkeeper to ensure timely rent collection and payments
Work closely with accountants to prepare year-end accounts and tax returns
Regular check-ins with property owners and director
Collaborate with existing managing agents and assist with ongoing property and maintenance issues
About You:
A self-starter who can work independently and use initiative
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Able to multitask and manage multiple properties/projects
Up-to-date knowledge of property regulations and compliance requirements
Comfortable managing legal documentation and notices
Tech-savvy, with experience using cloud-based tools
Requirements:
Previous experience in property management or real estate
Degree in business, real estate, or a related field (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic bookkeeping knowledge
Understanding of UK property law, lettings compliance, and building maintenance
