Investment Street is a dynamic and growing property development company with a diverse portfolio, which focus's on high yield developments. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Property Development & Planning Co-ordinator to join our team and take a key role in managing planning applications, navigating building control processes, and coordinating contractors and tenders.
Role Overview
As the Property Development & Planning Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring all development projects are planned, approved, and executed in compliance with local regulations and best practices. This role requires a strong understanding of UK planning systems, building regulations, and construction procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Permits:
Liaise with architects ensuring successful planning applications and appeals.
Engage with local authorities, planning consultants, solicitors, contractors and other stakeholders.
Monitor planning policy changes and their impact on future developments.
Building Control & Regulations:
Coordinate with building control officers and ensure all developments meet regulatory compliance.
Oversee the preparation and submission of building regulations drawings and documents.
Track and manage compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Contractor & Tender Management:
Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and procurement of contractors.
Coordinate tendering processes including evaluation and appointment of construction contractors.
Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with internal teams including development, design, and finance to support project delivery.
Assist in project scheduling, reporting, and budget monitoring.
Maintain detailed project documentation and compliance records.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in a property development, planning, or construction co-ordination role.
Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and building control processes.
Experience preparing and managing planning and building regulation applications.
Understanding of construction tenders, contracts, and procurement practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of planning software or project management tools is a plus.
Degree or diploma in Planning, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is desirable.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 28,500.00-32,000.00 per year
