The Property & Facilities department at Hotel Chocolat are key to growing our store portfolio, developing the physical brand experience, and keeping our Retail Estate safe, compliant and operational.

This is a field-based role with occasional monthly travel to our suppliers and to our support office, 'Mint House', in Royston, Hertfordshire. Our home from the very beginning, it's just off the A505 and 10 minutes' walk from Royston train station, with direct rail links to London King's Cross.


What you'll be doing....



Supporting the Property team and wider UK retail estate operations team with your CAD knowledge, experience, technical knowledge and solution driven approach. Working with our supply chain partners to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to our new and existing stores. Documenting all current specifications to support the creation & delivery of a Hotel Chocolat design manual. Coordinating work across multiple projects and process streams and liaising cross functionally with wider teams and your colleagues in Property & Facilities. Driving efficiency and value from the supply chain, challenging technical aspects as required. Verifying all site information to create solid foundations for site investment. Evaluating missing details from 'As Built' information to be collected via PM's or 3rd Party surveyors. Co-ordinating the creation of Feasibility plans for stakeholder review. Consulting with suppliers and main contractors to develop fixtures and produce drawings to inform their construction, considering all cost, materials, practicality and aesthetics. Consulting with Marketing and Design to develop and produce store designs that align with brand guidelines. Creating drawing packs to facilitate shopfitting of new stores, refurbishments and any other property projects. Supporting the development of furniture and decor to progress existing store concepts. Supporting development of new concepts for review through 3D visuals, samples, prototypes, and supplier collaboration. Collaborating with suppliers to lock down specifications for existing formats and investigate new materials to support new store development and sustainability targets.

Who you are...




You're experienced in the technical aspects of store layout creation, specification and fixture development, with a strong background in CAD, designing shop layouts, fixtures & fittings and producing drawing packs to be used by others, using your solid understanding of health & safety, environmental legislation and building control requirements.


Essential



3+ years' experience working with CAD in a retail environment. Retail fixture design experience. Store layout planning experience. Experience in procurement of materials, fixtures and fittings.

Desirable



CAD qualification or accreditation. Design qualification or accreditation. Experience in procurement of materials, fixtures and fittings.
