Here at Settle we are looking for a

Property Inspector

to join our

Damp and Mould Repairs Team.




You will work within the property team to identify and specify work required in settle's housing stock and be instrumental in specifying, prioritising and overseeing works. You will ensure settle is meeting decency and HHSRS standards and provide customers with support to ensure they have homes where they are proud to live.

Outline of Key Responsibilities...



Liaise and visit residents to inspect, providing guidance, specifying and prioritising works, where required. Accurately undertaking inspections across all settle owned properties, internally, externally and common areas. Working with service controllers to ensure works are classified and raised based on defined priorities Oversee works, liasing with contractors (internal or external) ensuring adherence to health and safety, time and cost processes Have a good understanding of HHSRS. Have a strong understanding of building components and potentially a trade background Be familiar with the Decent Homes standard guidelines. Be flexible to support different types of inspections. Damp, mould and condensation reports, mutual exchanges, post inspections etc.

We are looking for someone who has...



IT skills. Suitable to complete forms and communicate instructions Familiarity with handheld data capture devices Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, bringing enthusiasm and a 'can-do' attitude. The ability to undertake surveys from day one. A good understanding of building elements and why they fail. A good understanding of why damp, mould and condensation occur, and solutions required to remedy them Excellent customer services skills - you want to serve customers and have a passion for ensuring homes are safe and a place they are proud to live
