The Role
We are seeking a capable and reliable Property Accounts Manager to join our team and support the financial management of our growing portfolio. This is a pivotal role in a small, dynamic team and will suit someone confident handling property factoring accounts, commercial property finances, and related statutory tasks with minimal supervision.
You will play an important part in ensuring smooth financial operations across multiple developments, supporting budgeting, service charge management, reconciliations, and client communications. Your contribution will directly support the company's growth and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and issue budgets, factoring charges and reports for factored residential appartmehts and estates
Prepare and issue service charge invoices, rent demands, and landlord statements for commercial properties
Assist in preparing, managing, and reconciling development budgets and client accounts
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple properties using CPL/Proptimo software
Process supplier invoices and payments promptly and accurately
Manage VAT returns, PAYE payroll, and related compliance requirements
Support year-end accounts reconciliations and statutory reporting
Manage client account enquiries, direct debit collections, and arrears payment plans, including escalation procedures
Collaborate closely with directors to maintain financial oversight and support proposal creation for new and existing developments
What We're Looking For
Knowledge of CPL/Proptimo software is a bonus, but not essential
Proven experience working in Scottish property factoring or commercial property accounting
Strong understanding of service charge accounting, VAT, PAYE, and general ledger principles
Comfortable and confident using Xero or similar accounting platforms, and MS Excel
Experience managing property finances including budgeting, reconciliation, and reporting
Excellent communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach
Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and take ownership of financial processes
